Description: The Buissière estate has been in the family since the 70's, with the 2nd generation Pierre (a figure in the Paris student riots of '68) moving the estate towards organics (certified since the 80's). Sons Antoine and Laurence have moved from selling to the co-ops to bottling their own wines. Harvesting earlier and from cooler sites, these are Rhone wines that retain a freshness and lift not often seen in the region. The grenache is destemmed and fermented and aged in concrete for 6-8 months. No fining, filtration or SO2 is used, and the result is a wine that is both ripe with bright berry fruit, full on the palate, but retains a brightness and lift that is atypical in southern Rhône. This is a zero zero wine, so one to open and put down quickly among friends.
