Description: Helene Jaeger-Defaix comes from generations of Rully winemakers. Her great-grandfather was instrumental in the commune receiving AOC status, and she now farms 4.5 ha across several of the 1er Cru plots. Les Cloux is on a SE facing slope on clay and limestone. It's a wonderfully tense expression of white Burgundy, with vibrant acidity balancing out some ripe golden apple and pear fruit notes, and loaded with chalky minerality. Used oak aging frames it elegantly, without making itself known. Killer value Burg.
