Description: Chidaine is a powerhouse Chenin master in Montlouis-sur-Loire, an often overlooked commune on the other side of the Loire river from Vouvray. He practices entirely biodynamically and regeneratively, but feels no need to advertise this. He lets the wines speak for themselves. This bottling is coming from the single walled vineyard of Clos du Breuil from 40-80 year old vines on clay and silex soil. Stainless steel fermented on native yeast and aged in tank and used oak, with up to a year of lees contact. The result is a dry Chenin with a nice touch of acidity, medium bodied with gorgeous texture. The nose is classic Chenin with toasted almond, honeycomb, pear and peach fruit, white flowers.
