Description: Maestro has been farming organically for decades now, but was employing modern heavy-handed interventions in the cellar up until 2003, when he decided to eschew additions and subtractions entirely. El Rey de Glam is farmed from 2 sites, one in Ribera, and the other at high elevations in the Grados mountains. The trick here is a whole cluster carbonic maceration and early harvests. This is not the heavy purple drank many Spanish Garnacha lean towards. Lighter, higher acid, crunchy zip, purple flowers, bright red fruit, crushed rocks. Big magnum to smash with friends.
