Description: Killer rosato from Sicily's oldest producer. Mostly Nerello Mascalese with a touch of Carricante from estate vineyards 700 m up the eastern slope of Mt Etna. Hand harvested, direct pressed and fermented in stainless steel before laying down for a year in chestnut barrels which are sourced from the local trees on the volcano. The nose shows orange creamsicle and grapefruit notes and on the palate a slight roundness with a dusting of citrus acidity and volcanic minerality. Everything is fully in the pocket on this one.
